SALMON FISHING
ADVENTURES

Østkil Farm, which holds one and a half kilometer double bank fishing, has some of the best beats on the Stjørdal river. The
Østkil Farm beat, about 20 kilometres above the river mouth,
has some long and excellent stretches combined with good
holding pools.

The Østkil Farm is close the fishing beat. Six to eight guests are accomodated in a charming Norwegian country house with full
board or self catering.

Other activities in the area: Hiking, visit the rock carvings, visit
Hegra Fortress, art exhibitions and shopping in Stjørdal town
centre or in the city of Trondheim.

One of the best in Norway

Stjördal is one of the best salmon rivers in Norway and flows into the Atlantic Ocean and Trondheimsfjord close Stjördal town.
The average size of salmon is about 4 kg but biggest Stjördal salmon are around 20 kilos. The annual catch from the whole river varies between 5 and 10 tons of salmon.

Good Salmon fly patterns for Stjördal are: Thunder & Lightning, Black Sheep, Greenlander and Silver & Black.
